Geist Charcuterie celebrates inaugural first year
Geist Charcuterie is coming upon a mile marker of which most newly formed companies can only dream. This month, the business celebrates their one-year anniversary.
Owner and creator Amber Ward launched the business in December 2022; by mid-February 2023 - Valentine’s Day in fact - Geist Charcuterie had its first sale.
“This whole experience has been such a blessing,” Ward, a self-professed lifelong foodie, said. “It has been such a great year. Even the navigating of things that have come up and the learning curves. There have been so many learning curves…and still, I feel so accomplished. I truly am proud of what has been built and I'm so thankful and proud of our growing team"
Ward is quick to shy away from taking even the majority of the spotlight.
“These people - my people - who have just literally flocked to my side to help me materialize my dream in this capacity. I absolutely cannot do any of this without them.”
Over the course of the last year, Ward and her team have provided top-notch, high-quality charcuterie for everything from birthday parties, wedding receptions, and baby showers to college care boxes and several corporate events.
Again, Ward is quick to point out that while Geist Charcuterie is her brainchild, nothing could have come to fruition without the many helping hands of her team.
“It is honestly an amazing thing for me to have had an idea several years ago, and talked about it with family and friends for so long and then get to witness just how it all came to be! I truly have the very best support group that anyone could ever ask for.”
The future for Geist Charcuterie is bright: As business grows, Ward says she has intention to continue to hone her craft and develop new ideas within the industry. Customers can expect the warmer weather months to boast deck-to-boat delivery of assorted boxes and new partnerships in the Geist community. Most importantly, she says she has full intention to stay focused on her commitment to give the best charcuterie culinary experience to her clients.
